Shish Kabobs

Well here it is!  Recipe post #2, and no this is NOT my creation!  This was given to me many years ago by a friend of mine from his family.  These make the MOST amazing Shish Kabobs!

The good thing about Kabobs is you can include anything you like!  So for this I will share what we prepared  on ours.

MARINADE:  Mix the following together:  This makes 1 batch, double if necessary (depending on how much you like)

1/3rd cup of honey
1/4 cup of Spicy Brown Mustard
1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 cloves garlic (If you use minced 1/4 teaspoon = 1 clove)
1 teaspoon ground ginger

*I doubled this and ran out because we had SOOOOO many vegetables, but doubling it should give you enough for about 4 people.

This is what it looks like:

For meat we used:  Boneless skinless chicken breast, flank steak (cube both) and then slices of sausage
Vegetables:  Onion, Green Pepper, Zucchini, Mushrooms, baby tomatoes
Fruit:  Pineapple sliced
(how much you buy depends on how many people you're serving)

Next put your meat in a freezer bag, and your vegetables in a bag.  And in my case fruit :) and pour in the Marinade and make sure everything gets coated.  Put everything in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

After its done marinading put everything on the kobobs (Except the pineapple I just grill those) and cook!

*For me personally I put all like things together (as you can see in the pics) because they will cook all at the same speed.  When you mix them up it looks pretty but you run the chance of having a piece of meat done with undone vegetables vice versa.
